WHY IS HI-LIGHTER
BETTER THAN VIDEO BASED SYSTEMS?
Hi-Lighter re-creates the exceptional
picture quality of the specialist photographic
studio for use in vehicle damage recording.
Hi-Lighter is fundamentally
different from video systems, which are designed
for fast moving "video frame rate"
applications.
Standard video CCTV systems
pixelate due to the limited image resolution
of video technology when zooming in and are
not designed to show the fine detail needed
to identify wheel scuffs; scratches and small
dents.
In contrast, the Hi-Lighter
system takes six or more simultaneous high quality
images at over
12 x broadcast video quality enabling post acquisition
zoom and pan to identify even small scratches
and dents on vehicles.
Quite simply you wouldn’t
produce your product literature with a TV camera
if you wanted quality.
HOW HI-LIGHTER WORKS
Cameras are housed in a purpose
built drive through bay for controlled lighting
and vehicle placement. Special lighting is used
to minimise reflected glare and enable 24 hour
operation.
As each vehicle arrives at
the drive through bay a set of images are taken
of the sides, front, rear and overhead views
of the vehicle bodywork to provide a complete
vehicle damage audit. The process takes about
four seconds whilst the vehicle is stationary.
Each image comprises a massive
2500 x 2000 full colour pixels, approximately
12x the resolution of broadcast video.
Images are stored in our Hi-Lighter
software database for instant lookup and identification
of vehicles holding over 30 days back history
at throughput of 1000 vehicles per day.
Evidence may then be printed
or e-mailed directly to the customer to verify
claims and show pre-existing damage.
Images may be networked back
to the control office enabling several operators
to search and view vehicle damage claims whilst
recording continues. The system may be linked
to popular ANPR cameras for instant search and
identification of customer vehicles
